The Jacob Fruitfield Food Group recently received the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award for 2010 in recognition of its superior business performance. Over the last two years, led by Seamus Kearney, managing director, the company has focussed on providing high quality branded food products to the Irish consumer.

The Jacob Fruitfield Food Group is a 100% Irish owned company which owns and markets a portfolio of popular Irish brands including Chef; Jacob’s Cream Crackers; Jacob’s Fig Rolls; Fruitfield; Silvermints and Jacob’s Kimberley, Mikado and Coconut Creams.

The Deloitte Best Managed Awards Programme, in association with Bank of Scotland (Ireland), recognises indigenous Irish companies across the island of Ireland which operate at the highest levels of business performance.

The independent judging panel, chaired by Denis Brosnan, reviewed a broad range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and growth potential across all key functions of the business. Given the turbulent economic environment, the judging panel recognised that business and management success can no longer simply be measured by increased sales, profit or turnover.  For that reason, a holistic view of the companies, their performance in relation to their peers, and the industries in which they were operating was considered in order to determine management success.
