Jacob’s Reduced Fat Range

Health is a major focus of food manufacturers and this challenges Jacob’s to look at improving the health claims on current recipes. One of the key elements to this is lowering fat.

 

In response to consumers concerns over health & diet, and the growing trend for healthier options, we’ve adapted the recipes of some of our most popular biscuits from the everyday biscuit range, to create a Reduced Fat Range, without compromising on their delicious taste.

 

Each variant has a fat reduction of at least 30%, compared to their standard biscuit version. The range currently consists of 4 brands:

• Reduced Fat Nice
• Reduced Fat Polo
• Reduced Fat Goldgrain
• Reduced Fat Fig Rolls (This packaging of Lower Fat Fig Roll has been re-designed to fit with the other sku’s in the range)

 

These products have been selected on the basis of either uniqueness to Jacob’s or because they are amongst the top selling products from our everyday biscuit range.

 

The packaging retains its core branding, making it easily recognisable to consumers and introduces a pale blue colour into the design, giving it a point of reference as a healthier alternative.

 

On the front of pack, key nutritional facts are highlighted as a quick reference (Calories per biscuit, Fat/Saturated Fat per biscuit) allowing consumer’s to make a quick and informed choice.
