Fruitfield
The Fruitfield Jam & Marmalade recipes can be traced all the way back to 1853 when the Lamb Brothers started making Jams & Marmalades for the Irish market. At the time, their slogan was "Greater purity means finer flavour" and "The Taste Tells" Over 150 years on, the mantras developed by the Lamb brothers are still true with only the freshest fruit and the utmost care being used in every stage of the manufacturing process.
- The oranges used to make Old Time Irish Marmalade come directly from Seville
- It takes 4 hours to candy the fresh orange peel that is used in Old Time Irish and Little Chip Marmalade
- Harold Lamb pioneered the growth of strawberries in Ireland, although advised by Fruit experts that "Ireland was too wet to grow strawberries"
